Recently we had EIGHTEEN of our students recognized by the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) as All-District Musicians. The musicians competed in an intense audition process that included competitors from an 11-county area of Kansas. In addition to having Upper School students recognized for honors in the All-District Choir and All-District Orchestra, we had a school record-setting SIXTEEN students selected to the 1234A All-District Band. Not only is this the most students to earn these honors from Collegiate, it is also the most by any 1234A school in our district! Included in the honors were six first chair awards.
The honorees have been invited to perform in the All-District Concerts on December 4 at Andover Central High School. Bravo to these amazing students for their successes beyond the classroom!
