Congratulations to Rob Egan, WCS Class of 2013 and our Upper School Debate & Forensics Instructor, on his appointment to Governor Laura Kelly's Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns (KCDC)!
The KCDC's vision is that all people with disabilities are entitled to equal citizenship and partnership in Kansas society. The Commission provides policy guidance to the Kansas government and disability-related information to the people of Kansas.
"This appointment is an honor, a privilege, and a pleasure," Egan says. "I have had a unique lens as someone with a disability who has also had the great fortune to advocate for others with disabilities through non-profit functions as well as legislative action. To further my advocacy work on this commission is a phenomenal opportunity to make good on some of the promises of previous disability rights laws and regulations currently left unfulfilled."
Thank you, Rob, for serving Kansas in this way!
