This ranking is a direct reflection of the academic success our students achieve thanks to the efforts of our dedicated faculty and staff. In addition to being named the Best Private K-12, Collegiate was ranked #1 in the following categories:

  • #1 Best Private High School in Kansas

  • #1 Best College Prep Private High School in Kansas

  • #1 Best High Schools for STEM in Kansas

“I am thrilled at the announcement that Wichita Collegiate has been recognized by Niche.com as the #1 rated private school in Kansas. This honor is a testament to the talented students who fill our classrooms and the inspiring educators who teach them. It is deeply satisfying when their hard work is recognized in such a way as this,” shared Head of School Nathan Washer. “At the end of the day, we are committed to preparing our students to lead an impactful life long after their time here is done. We do this through exceptional academics, a vibrant fine arts program and a competitive athletic program. We are immensely proud of our school and all that our students achieve both while at Collegiate and also later in life as alumni.”

In addition to the our #1 rankings, we also came in at #11 (out of 326) as Best High Schools for Athletes. School size is not delineated in this decision, making our high ranking even more remarkable, as we were measured equally against the largest schools in the state. Our history of athletic success has set us apart from others for years, and we appreciate that the Niche rankings reflect that.

Beyond our #1 rankings, Wichita Collegiate School also received an A+ overall grade. Niche grades are calculated based on a series of data points. Thousands of schools across the country are reviewed to determine rankings. Factors used in a school’s grade calculation include parent and student satisfaction with their overall experiences with the school, composite SAT and ACT scores, student-to-teacher ratio, and college matriculation information for graduating seniors.
